Revistas de diferentes nacionalidades emitieron sus juicios y por lo menos hay una cinta animada en sus conteos, tal vez debieron de incluir más, y se aprecia también lo expuesto por nosotros anteriormente, sin ninguna novedad directores que vienen trabajando en sus propuestas desde hace dos décadas atrás brillaron por su impecable trabajo.

Otros directores que se consagraron y siguen para el 2011 con propuestas sorprendentes y fascinantes, como Lars von Trier, Richard Linklater, Michael Haneke, Pedro Almodóvar, Jean-Pierre & Luc Dardenne, Joel & Ethan Coen, continúan en la carrera y habrá que esperar que nuevos caminos recorrerán en su cinematografía.
Sorpresas, si es que las hay, son de directores que han sabido mezclar, porque son lo más parecido a un DJ, diversos estilos ya vistos en la historia del cine, pero con el virtuosismo propio que han generado los medios tecnológicos producidos por el mismo cine. Sabio manejo del CGI, espectacular uso del Steadycam, cinematografía en HD, cinematografía en 16 y 35mm con pocas luces, montaje hiperkinético. Algunos de los que brillan en este abarcado son: Paul Thomas Anderson, Gaspar Noe, Michael Mann, David Fincher, Alejandro González Iñárritu, Wes Anderson, Spike Jonze, James Gray, Jacques Audiard, Darren Aronofsky, Wong Kar-Wai.
